To save Igbo is the most important duty of our lives today. To save Igbo is a hundred times more important than to save Nigeria because whereas Igbo wants to save Nigeria, Nigeria wants to destroy Igbo.
As things stand now, we are mistaking to still be looking at faces or watching feelings as we fight for our survival and freedom as a people.
Any Igbo who still thinks his or her life and liberty, plus those of his or her loved ones and village or town, don't depend on Igbo remaining a semi-autonomous and viable ethnicity of a free people, should take stock of how we are profiled and slaughtered today and then imagine what our fates shall become tomorrow if HausaFulanis start to rule Igboland, as they rule Hausa land and the entire northern region.
You say that was not remotely possible? Well, keep up with your complacency and aloofness as elite, and watch our youths' youthful exuberance hand our land over to a-better-organized HausaFulani people, like the Hebrews took over Jericho and the rest of Canaan.
Igbo people (elite and ikwelikwe) who are still bordered that if they become Igbo patriots that their Yoruba and Hausa-Fulani friends will label them tribalists aren't smart.
Are those Yoruba and Hausa-Fulani friends of yours detribalized like you? No! Do they want to be as detribalized as you are? No!
So then, isn't it stupid to pride yourself as detribalized in the midst of unrepentantly-tribalized friends, neighbors, and colleagues? I am yet to see a Yoruba man or woman who is not looking exclusively to defend and promote only Yoruba concerns.
Long gone are the days we had the Adeniran Ogunsanyas, Adekunle Fajuyis, Olusegun Obasanjos, and MKO Abiolas. They were the last detribalized Yorubas that held out until the end of the 1970s, when they realized that they had lost out completely to the Awoists and had better crossover in complete penitence to their tribesmen like prodigal sons.
Yorubas have the minds of the elephants and will never forgive the last of them, Olusegun Obasanjo, because they know deep down that he is still more pro-Nigerian than pro-Yoruba.
It was for that reason that the foremost Yoruba ethnic ambassadors (Fela Kuti and Professor Wole Soyinka) attacked Abiola and Obasanjo viciously under the pretense of their signature self-righteous indignations.
Fela and Soyinka protect and promote Awoists only. They are exceptionally bitter at anti-Awoists.
Someone should show us one detribalized HausaFulani man or woman. No such! And they don't hide their tribalism. So why shouldn't we be tribalists, too, and show it—or hide it as the Fela Kutis and Wole Soyinkas do.
Ndibeanyi, let us repent to look for the good of Igbo; to look for our own good, that is. For when we jell and achieve that, our humiliation and marginalization shall become a thing of the past.

The story:
The Worldwide Leader of the Yoruba global movement, Ilana
Omo Oodua, Prof Banji Akintoye, has accused the Presidency of supporting
criminality by faulting Ondo Governor Rotimi Akeredolu's order asking herdsmen
to vacate forest reserves in the state.
In an interview with The PUNCH on Wednesday, the historian asked
people of the Yoruba race and Nigerians to prepare to defend themselves against
herdsmen.
He accused Fulani herdsmen of engaging in full-scale criminality
since President Muhammadu Buhari became Nigeria's president.
The Yoruba elder wondered why
the Federal Government had refused to prosecute many Fulani herdsmen engaging
in criminal activities.
He said, "The Presidency
is now initiating a very dangerous doctrine of governance in Nigeria. The
presidency is now saying that the state's authority no longer includes the
security of the people of the state.
"That is not only bad
but dangerous to the existence of Nigeria. It is an assessment of the quality
of governance in Nigeria by the rest of the world.
"All Nigerians who are
being assaulted, raped, and killed by the Fulani must defend themselves; not
only Yorubas or those living in Ondo. If we continue to wait for the Federal
Government, these herdsmen will kill all of us. We must rise to defend
ourselves.
"The Nigerian government
has shown again that it is working for the Fulani. I don't think anybody should
be afraid to say that because it is the truth. The Fulani has been committing
crimes on a massive scale since 2015 in Nigeria.
"The government has
never owned up that they are committing the crime. They have been going around
kidnapping, killing people, and destroying farms, properties, and villages on a
persistent scale and those things are crimes under the laws of Nigeria. In some
parts of the country, it looks as if the army is colluding with them
(herdsmen)."
The Ilana Omo Oodua leader
commended Akeredolu, urging Yoruba to support him.
"Akeredolu should be
commended for his decision, for his courage and show of knowledge of the land.
We support what he is doing. We are waiting for what government would come and
do in Ondo State," he added.
Background:
Following the incessant case of kidnapping, rapes and
killings going on in parts Ondo state, south West Nigeria, the chief security officer
of the state in the person of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, issued an order
demanding that the Fulani Herdsmen vacate the forest reserve.
The Fulani herdsmen who are illegally occupying the forest
reserve have been fingers in numerous acts of criminalities including
kidnappings, rapes and gruesome murder of innocent farmers, indigenes, settlers and
travelers.
The spokesperson of the presidency Malam GArba Shehu in a
statement signed by him, faulted the order by the governor and suggested that
the order will be countered and this led to many reactions by well-meaning Nigerians.

"Our attention has been drawn to a decree credited to one Rotimi Akeredolu asking Fulani people who have occupied some forests in Ondo State to quit.
We
are also aware of another incidence in Oyo State where an illiterate political
thug gave quit notice to Fulani people to leave the territories which are now
their irreversible homes.
This
is not only an irresponsible demand but a call to arms of the faithful who have
been pursuing their legitimate business in these forests.
We
have given a counter order. No Fulani will move an inch either in Oyo, Ondo or
any part of the Western part of Nigeria.
On
behalf of Fulani Nationalist Movement, (FUNAM) we hereby warn the governments
Oyo and it’s agent, one Sunday Igboho and the Ondo State Govt to rescind their
orders or face serious consequences.
It is
shocking that the said Igboho and Akeredolu who is a beneficiary of the system
is giving a stupid order that he knows no one will respect. We didn’t get the
forests through him and how does he expect Fulani to obey his empty order? If
he had been shot during attack on him, will he be alive to give orders? Humans
have a short memory.
The
Fulani people in these forests acquired these lands legitimately the Fulani
also operates under the ECOWAS protocol on free movement of persons. The people
giving the orders should know they do not have the capacity to enforce such
orders.
First
they are not the Nigerian Police neither are they the Nigerian Army. The
National Assembly has not given such not even the Houses of Assembly in the two
states acquiesce to such IRRESPONSIBLE demand.
The
Fulani will resist by all means necessary, including armed resistance any
attempt to forcefully eject them from these Forests that in reality does not
belong to these States alone. Some are Federal Reserve Forests.
We
want to ask Akeredolu whether those communities brought the lands from heaven.
We
warn that any one Fulani blood that is shed further in the South West will
automatically lead to upheaval in the six states of Lagos,Osun, Oyo, Ondo,
Ekiti and Ogun State.
We
the Fulani are on red alert and waiting for the call and will never succumb to
any threat or intimidation by ethnic bigots, Baadu Salisu Ahmadu,given my new
responsibility, will with other faithful NEVER fail the Fulani Nation in it’s
